Art Class

Classes resumed yesterday after a winter break and Tyler was so super excited. He tells me he LOVES art class. He says hi to all the kids by name and he even shares in on the painting instead of doing his own individual work. I must share a story from yesterday that made me turn a little red. Towards the end of class we worked with real clay...you know the grey stuff. Well, Tyler is really into Horton Hears a Who, a movie with a big grey elephant. So, he decided to make an elephant with his clay. He did a great job but upon completion he looked at his elephant in a quiet classroom and said, "Momma, I wanna make a pee-pee and a hiney for the elephant". Everyone burst out in laughter. It gets worse! Then he said, "I wanna make a pee-pee and hiney like Daddy's". By that time, I had my hand over his mouth while trying to distract him with something else! hhhmm...what do ya know...hiney is not in my spellcheck!
